Jarrett Dapier is an author, librarian, and lifelong drummer. His books include Jazz for Lunch, a finalist for the Ezra Jack Keats award; The Most Haunted House in America, a rhyming romp about drumming at the White House; and Mr. Watson's Chickens, chosen by NPR and Bookpage as a best book of 2021 and challenged repeatedly for including gay characters. Come for a conversation with Jarrett over coffee and cookies about reading and the chilling effects of book banning.

In-person and phone registration starts August 5th for Norridge and Harwood Heights residents with valid library cards. Online registration for everyone starts August 12th.
