Event Details

From 2003 – 2021, Steve Dolinsky was the Food Reporter at ABC 7, Chicago’s #1 news station, where he produced and reported two original reports each week, under the moniker "The Hungry Hound." In 2021 he moved to NBC 5 where his segment The Food Guy airs every Thursday night at 10:00pm.

Steve was Co-Host and Co-Producer of the James Beard Award-winning podcast “The Feed” with Chef-Restaurateur Rick Bayless for five years. He has been a judge and/or contributor on Iron Chef America and Unique Eats, and served as one of the Regional Academy Chairs for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants for 13 years.

Since 2017, Steve has made it his mission to find Chicago’s best pizza, and debunk the myth that all Chicagoans eat enormous, stuffed pies with two layers of dough. His first book, Pizza City USA, tackled the issue head-on, offering suggestions for 101 of Chicagoland’s best pies.
