Carter, two-time Academy Award-winning costume designer. Carter made history as the first Black person to win the Costume Design category, winning an Academy Award for Marvel's Black Panther. This event is made possible by Illinois Libraries Present, a statewide collaboration among public libraries offering high-quality events.
